about us

vic vipers futsal club

The Victorian Vipers Futsal Club was established in 1999, out of the need to provide further Futsal specific training, playing and touring opportunities for players that had a genuine interest in pursuing the sport at the highest levels. The club is the most successful, oldest surviving and most unique club model for Futsal in Victoria.

It's produced countless amount of players involved in the Victoria state team squad at senior & junior levels as well as 'Futsalroos' at national representative level.

It's the only club from Victoria, to have represented Australia at FIFA and AMF (the sport's world governing bodies) World Cups and International level as a coach and/or player.

It is also the only club to have won State and National Championships across all the major events in the last fifteen years, the V-League Cup & League double, Football Federation Victoria State Championships, the 5-A-side Football Vodafone and Hyundai Championships, Football Federation Australia Futsal Titles and F-League (National Futsal League) Champions & Premiers in 2013, Premiers in 2015 and 2016.

In 2014 Vic Vipers made history by becoming the first Futsal club in Australia to compete at the AFC Futsal Club Championships in Chengdu, China PR. The Club faced host nations Shenzhen Nanling, Uzbekistan's Lokomotive & Japanese Futsal powerhouse Nagoya Oceans.

2016 the club returned to Asia's Elite Futsal club competition drawn against host nations Chonburi Blue Wave and Nagoya Oceans again in the group of death. Vic Vipers narrowly missed out of advancing to the knock-out stages after surprising everyone with a 6-3 loss to Chonburi and a 2 x 2 draw with eventual winners Nagoya Oceans.

The club would go on to represent Australia at the prestigious AFC Futsal Club competition again in Vietnam 2017 and Indonesia 2018 being the only club from Australia to compete at the Elite level on four occasions.

Vic Vipers are proud of the clubs achievements across all age groups and celebrate the individual success of our players along the way. Jonathan Barrientos and Adam Cooper representing and scoring for Australia in the 2018 FIFA Futsal World Cup. Kui Mu representing and scoring for Timor-Leste in the ASEAN Futsal Championships AFC Qualifiers. All three players came through the clubs junior and youth programs and many more players who pushed for National team selections. We aim to continue providing the opportunity for the next crop of stars!
